History: Founded in 1853, the second oldest high school in Cincinnati, OH. the original location of Hughes was at a different location (W. Fifth and Mound Street) until 1910, thereafter the school has been at it's current location ever since. The building itself is an Tutor Architecture structure, boasting an 145-foot Tudor tower that can been seen from miles away. the school was remodeled and transferred into a STEM high school on 2010. The school was founded to serve minority, low-income and special needs students, all are services that are currently offered.
